| Duke meets Sam - one of our
most interesting adoptions. We were in the process of looking for an exceptional quality Savannah cat for showing and breeding when Jerry found Carol Streit. She not only had exceptional cats, but was the chairperson for the Savannah breed. She has taught us and helped us so much. Through the conversation we talked about the Anatolians. A friend of hers who rescues large exotic cats has an Anatolian that lives with her cheetahs. Carol had been wanting to get an Anatolian to protect the cats at her cattery. Carol fell in love with Duke so we took him to his new home. Here are a few of the fun pictures of Duke's first meeting of Sam, the "house cat". Sam (short for Samantha) is a 12 year old African Serval cat. They are one of the wild cats of Africa. The Savannah is a domestic cat bred up from the Serval with the intentions of creating a domestic cat that looks similar to the African Serval Cat. |
