Our Kitties |
|
Our Kitty story - It all started with a garage sale. My mother in law (who was 89 at the time) had talked for years about having a garage sale. We finally just picked a date and made it happen. As we were hanging out at the sale we watched these cute little kittens playing next door. Well, who can resist a cute little kitten. We would go next door and play with them during the slow times. They were cute little farts. Had mulitple toes (polydactyl) and bobbed tails. My husband Jerry got taken by them and decided since I really enjoyed kitties, I should have one. So we came home with Jeepster. Jerry decided Jeepster needed a boy friend and we ended up with Pinzgauer. As he was getting Pinzgauer, he stumbled on to the Savannah cats. In the process he met his first Serval, Samantha (Sam for short) . The owner of Samantha decided she needed an Anatolian to help keep predetors away from her cattery, since her cats had indoor / outdoor runs. We became enthralled by the Samantha and the savannah cats that are bred from them. So we added Savannah cats to our ranch family. Jerry spent many hours in research to learn about the cats and to find some of the best cats he could find to start our cat family. We have several cats that have won cat show after catshow and have acquired several cats with specific characteristic with our goal to make and even better cat. |
